Dan was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and is a Cornhusker at heart after graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in Business Administration. Dan brings 25 years of insurance experience to UNICO Group where he worked for a large national insurance company managing both Third Party Casualty and Workers Compensation Litigation teams throughout the Midwest. Since joining UNICO Group in 2016 Dan has been a leader in our Professional Business division in helping clients manage professional liability exposures in the area of Employment Practices, Directors and Officers and Cyber/Crime liability.
Dan has a passion for insurance education and has obtained multiple designations including CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), AIC (Associate in Claims) and ALMI (Associate Life Management Institute). His educational background and extensive insurance experience provides him with a unique perspective for clients on providing them quality insurance solutions to best manage their risk exposures. In his free time, Dan loves to attend Husker games, exercising and a good game of golf. Dan is married to Tiffany and they have three children Sydney, Peyton and Cole. Dan is active in the community where his serves as a TeamMate Mentor, Nebraska Human Resources Institute (NHRI) Board, Lincoln East Athletic Booster Board and coaching a Youth Baseball team. Dan and Tiffany are very active in their Parish, St. Michael, and have co-chaired the annual fall festival for the past several years in addition to being involved in many other Parish activities.
